Cypramil

Structure

One tablet of cipramil may include 40 or 20 mg citalopram.

Additional substances: glycerol 85%, corn starch, copovidone, lactose monohydrate, croscarmellose sodium, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate.

Shell composition: hypromellose 5, titanium dioxide, macrogol 400.

Release form

Oval white tablets serif tablets marked with the letters "C" and "N".

  • 14 tablets of 20 mg per blister; one or two blisters in a pack of cardboard.
  • 14 tablets of 40 mg per blister; two blisters in a pack of cardboard.

Selective serotonin reuptake blocker, antidepressant.

An antidepressant effect usually develops after 3-4 weeks of treatment. The drug Tsipramil almost does not have the ability to bind to many receptors, including m-cholinergic receptors, histamine and adrenoreceptors. No sedative effect.

Slightly suppresses cytochrome P450 IID6, as a result of which it does not interact with agents metabolized by this isoenzyme.

Tsipramil does not affect the rhythm system, pressure, hematological parameters and the functioning of the kidneys and liver; does not cause weight gain.

Pharmacokinetics

The maximum plasma content is recorded on average 4 hours after ingestion. The bioavailability in this case is about 80%.

The equilibrium concentration is established after 1-2 weeks of treatment. Protein Response blood - less than 80%.

Metabolized by deamination, demethylation and oxidation. The elimination half-life reaches 36 hours. The active substance is excreted in the urine and through the intestines.

Indications for use

  • Depression diverse etiology and structure.

Sensitization to the components of the drug.

Side effects

Side effects are mostly temporary, mild and are observed during the first two weeks of therapy.

Instructions for use of cipramil (method and dosage)

Instructions for use Tsipramil recommends using the drug once a day, regardless of the meal.

In the treatment depression the drug is taken at a dose of 20 mg per day. Depending on the patient’s reaction, the forms and severity of depression, the dosage is allowed to be increased to the maximum possible - 60 mg per day.

In the first week of therapy for panic disordersthe recommended dose is 10 mg per day, then it is usually increased to 20 mg per day. Depending on the patient's response, the daily dosage is allowed to be increased to the maximum possible - 60 mg per day.

At obsessive-compulsive disorders the initial dose of the drug is 20 mg per day and can also be increased to 60 mg per day if necessary.

In elderly patients, it is advised to use a dose of 20 mg per day, and the maximum dose at this age is 40 mg per day.

In patients with severe liver disease, the medicine is prescribed in the lowest recommended doses.

Overdose

Signs of an overdose: coma, drowsinessarticulation disorders sinus tachycardia, sweating enhancementconvulsive seizures nodal rhythmnausea cyanosisvomiting, hyperventilation of the lungs.

Overdose treatment: gastric lavage, symptomatic and supportive treatment, constant monitoring of the patient's condition. Specific antidote does not exist.

Interaction

When combined with MAO inhibitors development is possible serotonin syndrome.

When sharing with Cimetidine concentration increase is possible citalopram in plasma.

Act Sumatriptan and other serotonergic drugs are stimulated citalopram.

Special instructions

Cipramil should not be prescribed during administration MAO inhibitors and another two weeks after the completion of their intake. Therapy MAO inhibitors allowed to start one week after discontinuation of cipramil.

With moderate changes in kidney function, dosage adjustment is not required.
